for 8-String Guitar (Brahms Guitar)
Commissioned by Joseph Ehrenpreis (USA)
ca. 9 min.
Program Note
If we are able to visualize our subconscious, what abstract and concrete things will we find? What color will it be? If we were able to translate our subconscious into a soundscape, what will the experience be like? Translucent is the gentle noise of my childhood years. This piece was commissioned by guitarist Joseph Ehrenpreis in 2016, and was composed in Tokyo and New York City. Although written for an 8-string Brahms guitar, players are able to perform it on a regular 6-string classical guitar as well.
